We are travelers who fell in love with our own country — and decided to share it with the world, on our own terms.
SignaTOURS Romania began with a frustration. After years welcoming international guests to the Danube Gorges, our founders Marian and Raluca Călinoiu realized something: the Romania that foreign travel agencies sold simply wasn't Romania. It was a checklist of clichés.
The real Romania — the Saturday-night village dances in Maramureș, the candlelit vespers at Voroneț, the bear tracks in the Făgăraș, the old men playing chess in Bucharest's Cișmigiu — was being missed entirely.
We built SignaTOURS Romania to fix that. Every guide is Romanian. Every property is one we'd stay at ourselves. Every itinerary is hand-built — never repeated, never templated. We believe luxury isn't marble bathrooms. It's the privilege of seeing a place truly.
Born at Pensiunea Sunshine
Marian and Raluca Călinoiu, the founders of SignaTOURS Romania, are also the owners of Pensiunea Sunshine, a family-run guesthouse on the Danube in the Iron Gates region. It was here, welcoming travellers from around the world to the Danube Gorges, that the idea for SignaTOURS Romania was born.
